My way...

... to classical music was not really straight. First I learned to play the drums. Later I taught myself some piano and then took classical piano lessons. At the same time, I started singing and playing piano in a jazz combo with classmates.

Some day, when I was eighteen, I got my first classical singing lesson. Since then, I have been constantly learning. At the conservatory, I discovered my love of acting and thus my love of musical theater. Transporting emotions by singing and playing - that's incredibly fun for me!

Vita

Tenor Tobias Bialluch is studying opera at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under Prof. Marina Sandel. He previously completed his bachelor's degree there in spring 2022, for which he was awarded the Dr. Gerda Rohde Prize for the best overall grade in his degree program.

He gained his first experience as a soloist in opera at the Staatstheater Hannover in Philip Glass' "The Fall of the House of Usher", as well as at the Theater Osnabrück in Bohuslav Martinu's "Greek Passion" or in Richard Wagner's "Die Feen". In university productions he sang roles such as the Minister in "The Princess on the Pea" by Ernst Toch, the Commissar in "Juliette" by Bohuslav Martinu or Tristan in Frank Martin's secular oratorio "Le Vin herbé". He can also be heard as a soloist in numerous church concerts.

In 2013, on the recommendation of Prof. Thomas Quasthoff, he began to train his voice with Prof. Charlotte Lehmann in Hanover. During this time, the tenor, who was born in Winsen an der Luhe, took part in a number of master classes, such as at Haus Marteau in Lichtenberg, IMAS in Bückeburg and the international Steglitzer Tage für Alte Musik. Most recently, he received important impulses from the master class at the Schubertiade 2021 with Brigitte Fassbaender.

Tobias Bialluch discovered his fascination for the profession as a singer during his first classical singing lessons, which he received from Rebecca Pothast-Clarke in Hamburg in 2012.
